Ever since the first auditions back in February of 1991, Vocal Line has been through a wide range of exiting experiences and musical challenges. In brief
Vocal Line’s performances have taken the ensemble far and wide, in Denmark as well as abroad. From choir competitions to show appearances – everywhere Vocal Line has been greeted with enthusiasm from a carried away audience.
The foreign tours include European countries such as Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, France and Italy, and in recent years distant continents like Taiwan, Japan and the USA.
Several of the foreign tours have culminated in Vocal Line participating in a number of various choir competitions. Participating in these events have been rewarding on multiple levels: Firstly, the competitions have contributed to spreading the word of Vocal Line’s unique vocal style – at home as well as abroad. Secondly, the competitions have been rewarding experiences personally, musically and result wise.
In Denmark Vocal Line’s activities have resulted in the release of six records, five of these released under their own management. Furthermore the choir has proudly appeared on radio and television on several occasions, on TV2 as their New Year’s choir, on the same channel on the show “Good Morning Denmark”, on DR1 in the programmes “Rock on Rosenborg” and “In the Midst of Music” and finally on DR Radio’s with airplay on the channel P2 and with appearances on the P4 radio show “Café Hack”.
However, the majority of Vocal Line’s activities are represented by the choir’s extensive concert work, concerts of which throughout the years have had various musical and lyrical themes.
